Foma says Foma Retro Special Developer may be used for more than one film.

The maker doesn’t publish a rule for lengthening the time, so the calculator makes no correction.

Capacity, as the maker states it: One package made up to 1 litre of working solution: 1.3 m² of film (for example 25 films of 135-36 or 120).

After processing 0,8 m2 of a film (approx 16 pcs of 135-36 or 120 type films) it is appropriate to prolong the developing time by 10% to each 0,1 m2 of a film compared to prior developing time. ... Prepared but not yet used working solution can be stored in a cold place and in a well-closed bottle during 1 year, partially depleted developing solution ... endures from 3 to 6 months.

A dash means the figure has not been read off the maker’s sheet. A guess here would produce wrong answers silently.

Help keep it right

Suggest a time or report a mistake.

Know a time for Retro Special Developer that is missing here, or spotted one that is wrong? Tell us, with the source, and a curator will check it.

  • Sources only. We publish a time only when it has been read off a primary source: the maker’s datasheet or chart. A link to it is what lets us check yours.
  • Nothing goes up by itself. Every report is read by a person before anything on the page changes.
  • No account needed. Your name and email are optional, and only to reply to you.
What would you like to send?

A datasheet, the maker’s chart or technical publication. Forums and blogs can’t be checked the same way.
