Exposure and shooting
Pull processing
Rating a film slower than its box speed and developing it for less time.
Pulling gives extra exposure to the film and shortens development to keep the highlights from becoming too dense. It generally lowers contrast, which can help in very contrasty light. It is the opposite of pushing.
