Reversal (slide) film

Film that is processed to give a positive image on the film itself instead of a negative.

Slide films are developed in a first developer that makes a negative image in the silver, which is then exposed or chemically fogged and developed again to give the positive. Black-and-white reversal processing exists too, but the colour kind is far more common.
